PRODUCTOS > ROCK DUST
In the past, rock dust was the basis of the first fertilisers used in agriculture because of its high content of a wide variety of mineral elements that provide effective, varied, and fast-response fertilisation for crops and soil biology.
In recent decades, the use of chemical fertilisers containing almost exclusively NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) has become widespread, despite the fact that plants and soil require many other elements for their proper development, which in the long term has led to serious soil deterioration and low fertility.
Obtained from a variety of rocks of volcanic origin, mainly basalt, this rock dust is rich in natural mineral nutrients beneficial for nourishing the soil and improving its biology.
Uses:
- Compatible with all types of plants, lawns, and crops.
- Revitalises soils depleted by chemical treatments and pesticides.
- Substitute for chemical fertilisers.
Benefits:
- Increases soil fertility and stimulates plant growth.
- Improves the quantity and quality of crops, resulting in foodstuffs and plants with a high mineral content.
- Reconstruction and improvement of soils depleted by chemical treatments.
- Gradual supply of nutrients.
- PH rebalancing.
- Boosts the activity of micro-organisms and earthworms.
Instructions for use:
- Recommended doses range from 100g/m2 for fertile soils to 400 g/m2 for extremely poor or badly depleted soils.
- Apply on the surface and, if desired, use a rake to mix it with the soil.
- Can be spread manually using a shovel or with a power tiller.
- Combine with non-chemical organic fertilisation (compost or substrate), to gradually restore soil biology and fertility.
- Rock dust is not very soluble in water, so it is not suitable for spray application.
